Call for Participants by the Anna Lindh Foundation

The Anna Lindh Foundation is organising a Regional Virtual Training for Trainers on Intercultural Citizenship Education in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The training is addressed to educators in the formal and non-formal education sector.

The training will be based on the capacity building methodology on intercultural dialogue developed by a team of experts coordinated by the Anna Lindh Foundation using as main educational reference the Anna Lindh Foundation Education Handbook on Intercultural Citizenship in the Euro-Med region and including the presentation of intercultural citizenship education concepts, interactive learning and testing activities on the competences and notions presented and exchange of educational practices among the participants.

The training will be carried out in English as main common language among participants.

The training will be held virtually and will last for 6 sessions, scheduled from 29 May to 26 June 2021. The 6 live training sessions will be held every Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 (CET). In addition, weekly offline groups and/or individual 2- hour sessions among trainers and educators will be held at the participants’ pace. A final evaluation and follow-up session will be scheduled during the last week of September 2021 and is considered as an integral part of the Training.

Following the virtual training, educators should commit to implement a training activity based on the Regional ToT in their respective communities and networks and will be accompanied in this process through a mentorship scheme coordinated by the Anna Lindh Foundation. The training activity by each trained educator is to be implemented between 20 June and 10 July 2021.

The total number of hours for the online and offline training activities, including the organisation of training activity by each educator is set to up to 36 hours.

With the present Call, the ALF aims at identifying 20 educators to attend the Training for Trainers programmes.

Based on the relevance and quality of applications, the ALF will try to ensure the selection of representatives from different countries of the region with a tentative ratio of 7 Southern Mediterranean and 13 European participants and with gender balance.
