An interactive workshop on gender identity and sex as sociological phenomena.

Are you interested in working with gender and equality in your everyday practice? Do you want to challenge social and cultural norms about gender? This workshop will help you develop a reflexive approach to your practical work, and provide you with insight about gender and sex as sociological phenomena.
This dynamic workshop includes two modules:
Module One generates personal reflection and a deeper understanding of the construction of gender.
Module Two examines the practices that can be applied when gender theory and practice are intertwined.

Niki Chalusi is the chairperson of Gothenburg’s organisation (RFSU) of sexual and reproductive health. She trains activists in practical methodology and teaches sex education in schools. On a national level in the organisation RFSU, she is a member of the steering committee counseling the project group on their mission to raise awareness on intersectional topics such as anti-racism, inequality, and feminism. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and is a big fan of Ayishat Akanbi and Alain de Botton.
Guest: Hana Jemli (Tunisia) will participate as a guest speaker about her work in Tunisia and Bulgaria.
