Book a school trip

Each week, we offer a large variety of school programmes for different ages and with different content. Your reservation can be made directly, here on our website.

A school programme costs SEK 350. For schools in Gothenburg, this is paid by the municipality*. This applies to pre-schools, primary and lower-secondary schools and Swedish for immigrants classes. This visit will, therefore, be FREE.

In certain school programmes, a workshop is included, although there is sometimes an additional fee to cover the cost of materials. This will be stated clearly in the reservation.

For payment, please provide a billing address. If you do not have one, you may pay at the cash desk on arrival. We will then send an invoice to you or to the municipality* for your visit.

Specific requests

In the box at the bottom of the page, you can make a note of any specific requests. We always do our best, but we are unable to guarantee that we can satisfy them all.

If you wish to visit at times other than those listed, please email your request to:

We can offer all school programmes in English and some are also available in Spanish.

Number of pupils

We can only accept groups of up to 30 pupils. It is beneficial for the pupils to visit the museum in smaller groups, if possible.

Staying longer?

If you would like to stay longer at the museum with your group, please choose a programme that ends at midday, when we open the museum to the public.

Self-guided tour with your group

You are welcome to take your group around the museum yourself during the museum's opening hours. Do not forget to sign in at the reception when you arrive. If you would like to guide your group yourself, but would still like us to provide a short introduction, please let us know.

There is a cancellation fee of SEK 500 for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance. Cancel by sending an email to or calling +46 (0)10- 456 11 78.
